Bellator fighter fined $5,000 for blasphemy

US Bellator fighter Danny Sabatello has been fined for inappropriate behavior. The athlete was fined $5,000 for blasphemy, which he allowed himself in an interview after the next fight.

The Sports Regulation Department (MTDAR) confirmed the sanction for the fighter. MTDAR President Mike Mazzulli noted that the athlete violated Rule 21 of the Unified Martial Arts Rules (use of obscene language in the sparring zone).

Sabatello, 29, is on a seven-game winning streak. His only defeat in his professional career came at the end of 2019.
