The Croatian boxer believes that he can easily defeat the world champion if he meets him in the ring.
Oleksandr Usyk is a great boxer, but he doesn’t do anything special in the ring. This is what IBF super heavyweight title challenger Filip Hrgovic said.
According to the 31-year-old Croatian, the Ukrainian world champion did everything in the fight with Daniel Dubois that he always does in the ring, so the Balkan himself believes that he will easily defeat the holder of the WBA, WBO, IBO and belts of IBF.
“I’m not surprised, no one admires me. Usik, of course, is a good fighter, but I’m not a failure either. I’ve been boxing for seventeen years, I’ve boxed with Olympic champions, European champions, world champions, I’ve had a long career, I’ve sparred with everyone, so I feel like I can beat anyone, if the training camp is good I will give good concentration and 100%, I know I can beat anyone.
In the fight with Dubois, Usyk did what he usually does – he’s a good fighter with good speed, he has a lot of punches and a lot of moves, but I don’t see anything special. I think Dubois had some good chances and counters, he just needs to throw more punches, be more aggressive. I think I have the stamina, the speed, and I can throw more punches to give him more problems than Dubois or Joshua,” Hrgovic was quoted as saying by Boxing Social.
Let’s remember that Usik’s former rival called the Ukrainian a phenomenal boxer.
