Russian Greco-Roman wrestler Aues Gonibov defeated Hungarian Erik Szilvasi in the first bout of the repechage tournament at the World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade.
The Russian defeated Silvashi in a fight in the weight category up to 82 kg with a score of 3:1.
In the decisive bronze medal fight, Gonibov will meet current Turkish world champion Burhan Akbudak.
The World Championship in Serbia will end on September 24, the Russians will participate in the tournament in neutral status.
