Russian sambo wrestlers won six gold medals on the second day of the World Cup, which took place in the Serbian city of Novi Sad.
The winners of the competition were Vera Lotkova (weight category up to 54 kg), Akhmed Gamzatov (up to 64 kg), Uali Kurzhev (up to 79 kg), Dmitry Torgashov (up to 98 kg), in combat sambo, gold was won Rustam Konzoshev (up to 58 kg) and Dzhambulat Medzhidov (up to 88 kg).
Margarita Barneva (up to 54 kg), Ri Aiko (up to 65 kg), Alexander Fedorov (up to 64 kg), Sipan Sedrakyan (up to 79 kg), Maxim Merzlyakov (up to 98 kg) have won the silver. Semyon Taipinov (up to 58 kg) won bronze in combat sambo.
In total, at the World Cup in Serbia, Russians won 12 gold, 10 silver and 3 bronze medals.
Russian athletes participate in competitions under the banner of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS).
