Brazilian MMA fighter Fabio Maldonado, who fought with the best heavyweight in the UFC (by number of title defenses) Stipe Miocic and Russian Fedor Emelianenko compared the two fighters.
– Fedor has heavier side impacts. Miocic hits the straights better. If they had met at the top of their game, I think Fedor would have won. For me, Fedor is the best fighter in the world.
But, if we’re not talking about top form, but, like, they would be fighting right now, then I think Stipe would have won,” Maldonado said through an interpreter.
Maldonado (28-16) lost to Miocic by TKO in May 2014 and lost to Emelianenko by decision in June 2016. The 42-year-old Brazilian’s next fight will be against Kirill Sidelnikov in Perm at the URAL FC tournament on July 1.
