Athletistic/ Boxing. Former Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko has commented on the news that Artur Beterbiev has been granted Canadian citizenship.
“Everything was going in this direction. Why be surprised, he is not the first, nor the last athlete born in Russia, but received the citizenship of another country.
The only interesting thing is whether he will still have a Russian passport. In general, from what I heard, an American passport does not prevent some of our hockey players from playing for the Russian national team,” Sport-Express quotes Shlemenko.
Beterbiev, 37, has gone 18 fights in professional boxing without suffering a single defeat.
