Due to changes to the ONE Fight Night 15 card, the Russian featherweight fight Ilya Freymanov (12-2) will face American Tan Lee (13-3) in the headliner of the ONE Fight Night 15 tournament, which takes place on October 6 in Bangkok.
The ONE featherweight division’s interim belt (70.3kg) is on the line. The fight between Freimanov and Lee is a meeting between two of the most dangerous knockout fighters in the division. Tang Lee is determined to go all the way to regain his belt and prove that he is still one of the best fighters in the world in this weight class. But to do that, former champion Lee must surpass 27-year-old Freimanov, who broke into ONE last year. He first destroyed former champion Martin Nguyen, then favorite Shinechagtaga Zoltsetseg.
Freymanov is riding a five-fight winning streak and Lee was undefeated in ONE until August 2022, when he lost his title to Tang Kai via decision. Due to injury, Tang Kai is currently unable to defend his title, leading to the decision to introduce an interim featherweight belt.
At ONE Fight Night 15, uncompromising knockout artist Timofey Nastyukhin, who was one step away from the belt of the lightweight division, will return to the ring. Russia will also be represented by former Eagle FC league champion Mansur Malachiev, who won by knockout in his first fight in ONE.
ONE Fight Night 15 will take place in Bangkok on October 6.
