Russian boxer Murat Gassiev and Swede Otto Wallin weighed in for their 12-round heavyweight fight in Belek, Turkey.
Gassiev’s weight was 98 kg, and Wallin’s weight was 107.75 kg.
The fight between Wallin and Gassiev will take place on September 30 in Belek, Turkey. The Russian WBA Inter Continental heavyweight title will be at stake. Also, the winner of this meeting will occupy second place in the IBF rankings.
Former WBA and IBF cruiserweight champion Gassiev has 30 victories (23 by KO) and one defeat. The Russian has been competing in the heavyweight division since the fall of 2020 and has earned four debut victories during that time. During his last fight in March in Yerevan, the 29-year-old boxer eliminated the American Mike Balogun in the second round. Wallin has 25 victories (14 by KO) with a defeat in September 2019 against the current WBC champion, Briton Tyson Fury. After this fight, the 32-year-old Swede won five in a row.
In the co-main event of the show, Russia’s Hussein Baysangurov (21-1, KO 19) will face Turkey’s Fatih Keles (17-1-1, KO 10) in 10 rounds at junior middleweight. Both boxers weighed the same – 69.7 kg.
