WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO title holder Alexander Usik will attend the fight of the WBC world champion Tyson Fury with ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou.
Fury’s fight with Ngannou will take place on October 28 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Usik plans to be ringside at the boxing event. It is expected that at the end of the fight, the date of Alexander’s fight with Tyson Fury for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion will be officially announced.
Earlier it became known that both boxers signed a contract to fight for the undisputed title in the heavyweight category. It was reported that the fight is planned to take place on December 23 or January 2024 in Saudi Arabia.
The unification fight between Usik and Fury was planned for April 2023, but it did not take place. According to the “Gypsy King”, this happened due to the financial demands of the Ukrainian.
Usyk challenged Fury again after successfully defending his WBA/WBO/IBO/IBF titles against Daniel Dubois. It was reported that January 27, 2024 was being considered as a potential new date for the unification bout.
