Krasyuk: Usyk and Fury have separate contracts with the organizers

According to promoter Usik, the boxers decided not to share a common contract, but signed them separately

Promoter Alexander Krasyuk shared one important detail of the deal regarding the upcoming unification fight, the first in history for all four heavyweight belts, between the Ukrainian Alexander Usik and British Tyson Fury.

“Section [контракта] No. Each of them made their own contract with the organizers. Everything else has not yet been revealed,” said the promoter of the Ukrainian champion.

Earlier it became known that both boxers signed a contract to fight for the undisputed title in the heavyweight category. The fight is planned to take place on December 23 or January 2024 in Saudi Arabia.

The unification fight between Usik and Fury was planned for April 2023, but it did not take place. According to the “Gypsy King”, this happened due to the financial demands of the Ukrainian.

Usyk challenged Fury again after successfully defending his WBA/WBO/IBO/IBF titles against Daniel Dubois. It was reported that January 27, 2024 was being considered as a potential new date for the unification bout.

Before the meeting with Usik, Fury will fight against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou. The fight will take place on October 28 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
