The former rival of the Ukrainian boxer shared his expectations from the fight for the title of absolute champion.
Tony Bellew believes in Oleksandr Usik’s chances in the upcoming fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion.
The former world champion in the first heavyweight division noted that due to his large size, the advantage in the confrontation is on the side of the holder of the WBC belt, Tyson Fury. However, he considers the Ukrainian boxer too tough to handle.
If the contract is signed, it will be a great victory for both camps. One camp obviously wanted it all the way, and the other watched and did everything to prevent it from happening, but now I give them both credit.
“I always say the only thing that can beat Oleksandr Usyk is size, but I still think he’s too tough,” Boxing Social quoted Bellew as saying.
It was previously reported that Usik and Fury signed a contract for a singles fight.
