Robert Garcia: Fury is too big, strong and heavy for Usik

Joshua’s ex-trainer bets on the “Gypsy King” because of his size

Trainer Robert Garciawho previously prepared Anthony Joshua for a second fight with the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO title holder Alexander Usikgave his forecast for the planned fight between the Ukrainian and the WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

“I think that Usyk will box well for a few rounds and give Fury problems. But I think Tyson is simply too big, strong and heavy. He will use this to his advantage. He will exhaust Usik, because Alexander is also tired.”

“Usyk doesn’t like body shots, so I think Fury will tire him out. Tyson will be too big for Usyk, will wear him out and win early.”

Let us remember that Garcia was Anthony Joshua’s coach before the Briton’s re-fight with Alexander Usyk. According to Roy Jones, AJ lost his rematch to the Ukrainian due to a misunderstanding with Robert.

The conclusion of a contract between the parties of Usik and Fury became known on September 29. The preliminary dates for the fight are December 23 or January next year.

It is expected that the date of the Usyk-Fury unification fight will be officially announced after Tyson’s fight with ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou, which will take place on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
