2020 Olympic champion, Russian boxer Albert Batyrgaziev supported his compatriot Murata Gassieva after his defeat against the Swede Otto Wallin.
On Saturday, Gassiev lost to Swede Otto Wallin by split decision. The heavyweight fight took place in Belek, Turkey.
– Based on the results of this fight, I wish Murat not to give up, but to continue working and moving towards his goal. Murat is a strong person. I’m sure he can handle anything. The fight was very close, victory could have been given to both, but Wallin’s hand was raised. What can I say… I’m waiting for Murat’s next fight so that he can return to the winning wave,” Batyrgaziev told .
Former WBA and IBF cruiserweight champion Gassiev has 30 victories (23 by KO) and two defeats. Wallin has 26 victories (14 by KO) with a defeat in September 2019 against the current WBC champion, the Briton Tyson Fury.
Batyrgaziev will meet Venezuelan Ender Lutses on October 20 in Perm during the Ural FC 4 tournament. This tournament, as part of the “Russia – a sporting power” forum, will be broadcast live on the channel.
