Former world champion Nelson: I’ll be surprised if the next fight is between Usik and Fury

The fight is planned to take place on December 23 or January 2024 in Saudi Arabia

Well-known former cruiserweight world champion and now sports analyst, Johnny Nelson believes that holding a unification fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion between Alexander Usik And Tyson Fury So far it is only at the stage of conversations.

“Did they really sign the contract? Let’s just wait and see. Learn one lesson: nothing is done until it’s done. So let’s wait and see what happens.”

“Would I be surprised if we see Fury vs Usyk next? Yes, I will,” Nelson emphasized.

Let us note that the world community considers Fury the favorite in the fight with the Ukrainian. Usyk and Fury have signed a contract to fight for the undisputed heavyweight title. It was reported that the fight is planned to take place on December 23 or January 2024 in Saudi Arabia.

It is expected that the date of the Usyk-Fury fight will be officially announced after Tyson’s fight with Francis Ngannou, which will take place on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
