The International Boxing Federation has set conditions for participants in the fight for the title of absolute champion.

Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will have only one chance to win the title of absolute world champion, as there will be no rematch.

Boxers are able to fix this, however, they are not able to put all their belts on for a fight. The IBF said the winner of the unification bout would have to make a mandatory defense of its title.

If Usik or Fury do not want to meet Croatian Filip Hrgovic in the ring, the organization will vacate the belt, and the IBF title will not be up for grabs in the rematch. In this case, Hrgovic will fight the next available challenger – Briton Anthony Joshua.

At the same time, according to ESPN, the Ukrainian and British have included in the contract the possibility of a rematch. The option can be activated by the losing boxer.

The first fight between Usik and Fury is scheduled to take place on December 23 or January in Saudi Arabia. The timing of the rematch is not yet known.

Earlier, the promoter named a condition under which the fight between Usik and Fury would not take place.
