Russian judokas won three bronze medals at the world championships held in the Portuguese town of Odivelas.
The competition took place from October 4 to 7.
On Friday, in the men’s weight category up to 81 kg, Russian Timur Arbuzov defeated Czech Petr Mlada in the fight for the bronze medal. On Saturday, in the category of less than 100 kg, Andrzej Pavlyukov defeated the representative of Tajikistan Parviz Abdurakhmonov in the repechage final in 35 seconds and brought the team another bronze medal.
Among the women, the only bronze medal went to Kristina Dudina. On Wednesday, the Russian in the small final of the weight category up to 48 kg showed herself to be stronger than the Azerbaijani Kenul Aliyeva.
Russian athletes participated in the tournament in neutral status.
