The former world champion shared his expectations from the fight for the absolute world champion title.
Oleksandr Usik has no chance to fight Tyson Fury. Former world champion Johnny Nelson thinks so. In his opinion, the Briton is more skilled in the ring than the Ukrainian. And in addition to this, it has a significant size advantage.
“Usyk is a very cool fighter, but I think Fury can do everything he can and more. Maybe Alexander just does it better.
But Tyson can box in both right and left positions. And overall, he’s a more versatile boxer, which we’ve seen in his fights.
How many times have we seen Usyk beat someone while playing like a right-hander? He is a southpaw and can only change stance for 30 seconds per round.
But we had the opportunity to watch Fury win the fight in a southpaw stance, because he knows how to do it, he has a great boxing IQ. The same can be said about Usik, and I understand him, because I left the hall where there were many Usiks.
I really appreciate Alexander’s skills, but I think Tyson has it all and more – height, arm length, speed. So, given everything I’ve said, I think Fury will win this fight,” Nelson said in an interview with iFL TV.
Let’s remember that earlier the promoter named the condition under which the fight between Usik and Fury will not take place.
