Philippine Olympic Committee chief Abraham Tolentino said the organization has sent a request to the IOC asking to include former eight-weight world boxing champion Pacquiao in the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The obstacle for Pacquiao, 44, is his age, with qualifying tournaments only allowing boxers between the ages of 19 and 40.
Pacquiao has 62 victories (39 by KO), eight defeats (3 by KO) and two draws in professional boxing. Pacquiao fought his last official fight in August 2021.
The Paris Olympic Games will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
