Crawford’s trainer McIntyre sentenced to 20 months probation for weapons possession

Boxer testified at trial

Brian McIntyre, trainer of undisputed welterweight champion Terence Crawford, received a 20-month suspended sentence. The probationary period will be two years.

McIntyre’s sentencing hearing was held Monday. Crawford reportedly personally took the stand as a witness in the coach’s defense.

Let us remind you that “BoMak” was arrested at Manchester airport on September 3. The security service found a pistol in the belongings of an American who planned to fly to Atlanta.

McIntyre flew to Manchester for Chris Eubank Jr’s fight with Liam Smith. The coach helped Eubank prepare for the rematch. Chris eventually won by technical knockout in the tenth round.

“BoMac” is better known for his work with Crawford. Under his leadership, Terence became the undisputed welterweight world champion, defeating Errol Spence.
