Well-known specialist Dave Caldwell also considers the British boxer the favorite in the confrontation.

Tyson Fury’s size and reach will help him win the title of absolute world heavyweight champion. So says Dave Caldwell, Tony Bellew’s former trainer.

The specialist noted the skills and class of the Ukrainian boxer, but believed that it was not enough to compensate for the Briton’s advantage in size.

“In any case, Fury is the favorite. I think his size will or could play a decisive role. In my opinion, Usyk has all the needed tools and skills to beat him, he really does. But I believe that Fury’s size the one who will prove it. to Alexander it is not possible.

Usyk had a long career. Alexander fought as a novice for a long time, he was not a young man. His mobility and angles were at their peak when he competed at cruiserweight. When Usyk gained weight it slowed him down a bit.

I think the sizes might be too much for him. But I can’t wait for this match. It was a good fight. Unbelievable, but it looks like it’s going to happen,” Caldwell told Pro Boxing Fans.

We remind you that the fight between Usik and Fury is planned to be held on December 23 or in January in Saudi Arabia.

Previously, former world champion Billy Joe Saunders named his favorite in the fight for the title of absolute champion.
