UFC fighter Kosta’s coach accused Chimaev’s team of sabotage before fight in Abu Dhabi

Brazilian Paulo Costa’s coach Eric Albarassin blamed the team Khamzata Chimaeva in sabotage before the next fight of the UFC 294 tournament in Abu Dhabi.

In the next fight, 29-year-old Chimaev will meet Brazilian Paulo Costa on October 21 at the UFC 294 tournament, which will be held in Abu Dhabi. Chimaev will represent the United Arab Emirates in this fight.

— We were at the hotel with Chimaev’s team. We were in the parking lot and they were in the lobby. The tension was really high because you know what almost happened the last time they saw each other in the UFC. Millions of people saw this. After that, some people started calling us in the middle of the night and waking us up. There was some sort of sabotage on his part when he tried to catch us up from the time difference. But that won’t work because we got here early. Costa is now cold and calculating. His attention is calibrated. He’s smarter than ever. He intends to break the hearts of Khamzat fans. Khamzat’s winning streak will be interrupted,” Albarracin said, as quoted by MMA Fighting.

Chimaev was born in Chechnya and at the age of 18 he emigrated to Sweden. In mixed martial arts, the fighter has 12 victories in 12 fights.
