The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) announced the end of its cooperation with the UFC because of Conor McGregor.
Former UFC champion in two weight categories, Irish Conor McGregor announced on social networks his return to the testing pool of the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
— Effective January 1, 2024, USADA will no longer be involved in the UFC’s anti-doping program. Despite a positive and productive contract extension meeting in May, the UFC informed USADA on Monday (October 9) that it would be taking a different path. The UFC’s decision jeopardizes the enormous progress the sport has made under USADA’s leadership. The relationship between USADA and UFC became null and void due to statements by UFC executives questioning USADA’s principled position that McGregor was not allowed to fight until ‘have been in the testing group for at least six months, USADA said on social media.

McGregor fought his last fight in July 2021 in the lightweight category against Dustin Poirier. The Irishman lost by technical knockout, suffering from a broken leg.
In total, he won 22 times and suffered six losses during his career.
