Shane McGuigan named the WBC boxing champion’s main task for fighting an MMA fighter.

Daniel Dubois’ former trainer Shane McGuigan has outlined Tyson Fury’s main goal for the Francis Ngannou fight. According to the expert, the WBC boxing champion needs to avoid injuries in a duel with an MMA fighter.

Otherwise, the Briton will not have time to prepare for the upcoming winter fight against Alexander Usik.

“If anyone has a chance to make this fight, it’s the Saudis. I believe they have the time frame to make this fight, but it doesn’t seem unrealistic to me.

Fury has a fight scheduled with Francis Ngannou, but how long will it last? Do the regulations require 12 rounds? I’m not sure either. No, this is a 10-round fight, and Tyson needs to come out of it unscathed. Anger should not waste time and return to camp immediately. If they get the fight in February, that would be great,” McGuigan told Boxing Social.

We remind you that the fight between Fury and Ngannou will take place on October 28 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. The Briton’s fight with Usyk is planned to be organized on December 23 or January 2024.

Previously, a prominent promoter questioned the holding of the Usyk-Fury fight.
