Hearn: In the second fight you will see a much more aggressive Joshua

On August 20, the Briton will meet Usyk for the second time

Promoter Eddie Hearn shared his expectations from the second match between Anthony Joshua and world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

The Briton believes that Joshua will be more aggressive in the rematch after a bad 12-round experience in the first fight.

“I don’t think you can be aggressive in a fight with Usyk. But you definitely have to act aggressively. Joshua needs to untie his hands more. He should hit Usyk at the first opportunity and knock him out of his rhythm, ”said the promoter.

“I don’t think Usyk likes being hit. He didn’t like being the first to get hit in the first fight, he wasn’t beaten much. So Joshua has to take his chances when they come, he has to be smarter. But at the same time, he must untie his hands.”

“I think the second fight will be a lot more exciting than the first because Joshua went through 12 rounds with Usyk. He understands his skills and must compensate for them with his own qualities – strength, speed, and combination blows. Easier said than done. But I am definitely convinced that in the second fight you will see a much more aggressive Anthony Joshua.”

Usyk and Joshua will fight their second fight on August 20 in the ring of Saudi Jeddah.

In September last year, the Ukrainian defeated the then unified world champion in 12 rounds and became the new holder of the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles.
