Spence vs. Crawford rematch scheduled for February

The parties have not yet reached an agreement on the weight category

New information has emerged regarding the rematch between the undisputed welterweight world champion. Terence Crawford and former world champion Errol Spence. It is reported that this fight could take place in February 2024.

However, the parties have not yet agreed on some important details. In particular, Crawford and Spence will have to agree on which specific weight category they will box in.

Let us remember that at the end of the summer, Spence activated the option of revenge against Crawford. The latter’s coach Brian McIntyre (later convicted of weapons possession) expressed hope that the parties would decide on a new date before the end of the year.

The first fight between Crawford and Spence took place at the end of July. In the ninth round, the referee decided to stop the fight, giving an early victory to Terence. Errol immediately stated that he hoped for a rematch in December.

For Crawford, the victory over Spence was the 40th in his career and the 31st by stoppage. With this victory, Terence became the first boxer in the world in the era of the four versions to win all four belts in two divisions. Previously, the American was the undisputed world champion in the junior welterweight division.
