The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has suspended consideration of the inclusion of boxing in the program of the 2028 Olympic Games, the head of the organization announced during a session in India. Thomas Bach .

In 2019, the IOC temporarily withdrew the recognition status of the IBA for economic reasons and due to a management crisis within the organization, and also presented demands for reforms. In mid-June, the IBA appealed this decision to the CAS and asked the court to suspend the IOC’s recommendations until the court’s final verdict. The meeting will take place on November 16.
