The American believes that Alexander will not be able to prove himself as he did in the fight with Anthony Joshua
Absolute world middleweight champion Clarissa Shields believes that the WBC world champion Tyson Fury will be the favorite to fight the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO title holder Alexander Usik.
“This is a very interesting fight. I think Fury will win. It will be very difficult for Usik. Tyson is very cunning and Usik is smaller. I doubt Usyk can do what he did to Anthony Joshua against Fury.”
At the end of September, it became known that Usyk and Fury signed a contract to fight for the undisputed title in the heavyweight category. It was reported that the fight is planned to take place on December 23 or January 2024 in Saudi Arabia.
The contract for the undisputed heavyweight title between Usyk and Fury contains a rematch clause. The clause applies to both boxers; the loser can initiate a re-fight.
Oleksandr Usyk, in his last fight on August 26 in Wroclaw, defeated Daniel Dubois by technical knockout in the ninth round. Fury will fight against Francis Ngannou on October 28 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
