Russian UFC fighter Irina Alekseeva said that when she was a child, she was a fan of two-time Olympic figure skating champion Evgeni Plushenko.
—You said you wanted to become a figure skater. Do you follow figure skating now?
– Yes, but not like before. I also wanted to pole vault like Isinbayeva, run a hundred meters and become a footballer. When I watch figure skating, I have tears in my eyes: what are they doing!
— Who is the coolest figure skater of the new generation?
— I like Alexandra Trusova – she has a slightly unusual appearance, beautiful long red hair. In general, as a child, I adored Plushenko, I am his fan. I grew up watching Irina Slutskaya’s performances. I cried watching figure skating. I thought, “I want that too.” My favorite boy is Dmitry Aliev.
— How did they perceive Trusova’s drama at the Olympics, when she shouted at Eteri Tutberidze: “Everyone has gold, but not me”?
– The man walked and strived to achieve it. There was a nervous breakdown. “Everything is in front of her, everything will be fine,” Alekseeva said, as quoted by RB Sport.
Plushenko is a two-time Olympic figure skating champion.
