Chisora: Fury-Usyk fight will take place on December 23 if Tyson is not injured in the fight with Ngannou

According to Derek, the championship fight can only be postponed if the former UFC champion manages to “catch” the Gypsy King

British heavyweight Derek Chisora suggested that the fight between the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO title holder Alexander Usik and world champion according to WBC Tyson Fury could take place as early as December.

“We have Tyson vs. Ngannou in two weeks in Saudi Arabia. That’s all. If Francis doesn’t catch Fury, then the fight with Usyk will take place in December.”

“You’re missing one point. You have to understand that the Fury-Usyk fight will take place on December 23, if everything goes well, if Tyson doesn’t get cuts or break anything. He has to make this fight to keep up with the other members of the Fury family. Look at this situation and balance the debit with the credit yourself.”

The 10-round fight between Fury and former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou will take place on October 28 in the Saudi capital of Riyadh. The WBC granted Tyson special permission to fight the former UFC champion.

The Riyadh championship belt will be at stake in the Fury-Ngannou fight. The British promoter Frank Warren presented a special trophy at a joint press conference.

Usyk and Fury have signed a contract to fight for the undisputed heavyweight title. It was reported that the fight is planned to take place on December 23 or January 2024 in Saudi Arabia. It is planned that the exact date of the event will be announced after the fight between the “Gypsy King” and Francis Ngannou.

The contract for the undisputed heavyweight title between Usyk and Fury contains a rematch clause. The clause applies to both boxers; the loser can initiate a re-fight.
