WBO junior middleweight boxing world champion Tim Tszyu said he doesn’t yet feel like a true owner of the championship belt.
Tszyu was handed the WBO championship belt in mid-September without a fight, after American Jermell Charlo moved up to super middleweight.
— Do you feel like a world champion?
– No no. “I already said it earlier: I will only be satisfied when I win the title fight,” Tszyu was quoted as saying by Boxing Scene in reference to FightHype.
Tim Tszyu will make his first defense of the WBO junior middleweight belt against WBC interim champion Brian Mendoza on October 15 in Sydney.
