Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya announced the suspension of his sporting career.
On September 10, Adesanya lost to Sean Strickland by unanimous decision and lost the organization’s championship belt.
“I’ll need time to take care of myself.” I don’t plan to fight for long. I can’t say I’m retiring, it shouldn’t be that way. However, if this happens, then everything is in order. I don’t need to prove anything anymore. So you won’t see me in the octagon for a long time, – said Adesanya on The Rock Podcast.
During his professional career, Adesanya, 34, has won 24 times and suffered three defeats. Since April 2019, the fighter has had 11 title fights in the UFC.
