Russian Irina Alekseeva came out with the Russian state flag to fight with Britain’s Melissa Dixon at UFC Fight Night 230 in Las Vegas. Former UFC head Dana White announced the lifting of the ban on fighters carrying national flags.
Alekseeva became the first Russian woman to take part in a fight in the UFC with the national flag after the ban was lifted.
The result of the fight was the victory of Melissa Dixon by unanimous decision.
