The former WBO heavyweight champion made his prediction for the fight for the title of absolute champion.

Shannon Briggs does not believe in Alexander Usik’s chances of becoming the absolute boxing champion of the world. The former WBO heavyweight champion made his prediction for the fight between the Ukrainian and Tyson Fury.

In his commentary, the former famous American boxer only praised the abilities of the British WBC champion in the heavyweight division.

“You can’t get in the ring against Fury, he’s never lost. You can’t fight a guy that big who can move like that. He’s a big guy, and look at his legs, he’s funny, he’s got the legs of an ordinary, tall boxer, but he has the body of a fat man who doesn’t play sports, and it helps him, he doesn’t have muscles, but it’s not muscles that fight.

He has agility, he can move, he can move his head. He doesn’t always win by knockout, but it shows that he can go all round. Such a man, with such dimensions and such endurance as he has, can make punches and deliver punches, he can be mobile, he is dangerous. A fighter like this has succeeded in any era of boxing because he is good.

Size doesn’t always matter, but in this case a big guy who can move and be boxed like that isn’t safe. Fury can break Usyk,” Briggs was quoted as saying by Boxing Social.

We remind you that the Fury-Usyk fight is scheduled to take place on December 23, 2023, but the fight may be postponed to early 2024.

Previously, a well-known coach expressed doubts that the Usyk and Fury fight would take place.
