This week’s ONE Friday Fights 37 card features only one Russian athlete: Denis Andreev.
On October 20 at the Lumpini stadium, 29-year-old Andreev will represent the Yakut team Sakha Wrestling MMA. His professional record so far includes one victory in MMA, and the fighter’s base is kickboxing, a sport in which he has successfully competed at the international level. The fight will take place under MMA rules in the ONE bantamweight division (61.2 kg). Andreev is currently acclimatizing and preparing for the fight in Thailand.
Andreev’s opponent is the Filipino from the Team Lakay gymnasium, Carlo Bumino-ang (2-0). So far, the Russian has received a contract for one fight. Andreev’s fate will be determined after his first performance in ONE.
The card will also feature Armenian fighter Maurice Boleyan (7-0). In the MMA flyweight division, he will challenge Mongolian prospect Gantogtokh Baatarchuluun (5-1).
The tournament will be led by Belarusian Muay Thai fighter Antar Kachem (48-9) and French eight-time world champion Rafi Boich (83-19). The fight will take place in the Muay Thai bantamweight division.
