MMA welterweight fighter Ilyas Khamzin spoke about the upcoming rematch between the Russian Islam Makhachev and the Australian Alexander Volkanovski.
The fight between Makhachev and Volkanovski will take place on October 21 in Abu Dhabi (UAE) and will headline the UFC 294 tournament.
— Volkanovski is an athlete who doesn’t move from camp to camp. He takes it consistently. I think Islam can win. There is still a moment of acclimatization. Makhachev has already adapted to this. “I am for Islam, I think it will win sooner than expected,” Khamzin was quoted as saying at the Championship.
The first meeting between the fighters took place at UFC 284 in February and ended with Makhachev’s victory by unanimous decision.
