The British boxer’s team still considers it unfair for the challenger to lose the fight to the champion.
Daniel Dubois and his team are not satisfied with the decision of the WBA regarding the result of the fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
The World Boxing Association recognized the WBA, WBO and IBF champion’s victory as fair, as well as the referee’s actions in that fight.
At the same time, promoter Frank Warren, who represents the interests of Daniel Dubois, said he is appealing the WBA’s decision to deny the appeal.
“We re-read the decision and appealed it. They didn’t even address the main reason for our complaint. That was how much time the referee gave Usyk to recover, and his instructions.
They didn’t even think about this issue. At least it wasn’t mentioned in any of the discovery documents they sent. So we will continue to try to do the right thing for our fighter,” Warren told iFL TV.
We remind you that the fight between Usyk and Dubois took place on August 26 at the Tarczyński Arena in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian won the fight by technical knockout in the ninth three-minute round.
