Two ex-world champions cannot agree on a fight

Eddie Hearnpromoter of the ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshuasaid the possible disruption of his client’s fight against the former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder it won’t be his fault.

“Malik Scott talks too much bullshit. He also said that the failure of the Joshua-Wilder fight was my fault. But we did not even participate in these negotiations. The situation is that they made us an offer and we accepted it. It’s not my fault that the numbers for the new deal aren’t even close to the original deal.

We are also in line for a potential fight against Filip Hrgovic for the IBF title. So we’ll see how the situation with Otto Wallin is resolved. I don’t care about Deontay Wilder. He has his own problems, this guy hasn’t fought in a year and his last fight lasted 40 seconds. So I think he doesn’t really want to fight,” Hearn said.

Previously, Hearn reported that all conditions between Joshua and Wilder’s teams had been agreed upon; all that remained was to determine the location of the fight. The promoter is ready to consider other countries besides Saudi Arabia. Hearn later noted that agreement on a date could not be reached.

Joshua knocked out Robert Helenius in his last fight, which took place on August 12 in London. Deontay’s last opponent was also Helenius – the American won by knockout in the first round.
