Fury: I’ll knock out Ngannou in six rounds

The fight in Saudi Arabia will take place on October 28

WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury expects to knock out the former UFC champion Francis Ngannou by the sixth round.

“I’m going to knock him out in six rounds. I’ll be on the front foot, hands up, catch him with a hard jab, a rock to the face. I’ll rip it, Ngannou’s eyes will swim and bang, knockout. On the front foot, without retreating.”

“No one can take my power, no one. These heavyweights don’t stand a chance. All these guys can hit hard. If you let a heavyweight hit you in the face, it’s a knockout. So I have to stop this from happening. If he hits me, great. No means no. But my chin doesn’t look like a piece of paper. You’ll find out that I’m very cool. It is for this reason that I fought 34 fights without defeat in 15 years.”

“I think Ngannou is a big man, strong and very passionate. Many boxers were offered the chance to fight me, but they refused.”

Fury previously compared Ngannou to WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO world champion Oleksandr Usyk. The Briton said that the Ukrainian’s blow would leave a bruise, while Francis would “blow your brains out.”

The 10-round fight between Fury and former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou will take place on October 28 in the Saudi capital of Riyadh. The WBC granted Tyson special permission to fight the former UFC champion.

The Riyadh championship belt will be at stake in the Fury-Ngannou fight. The British promoter Frank Warren presented a special trophy at a joint press conference.
