Makhachev defeated Australian Alexander Volkanovski in the first round on Saturday to retain the UFC lightweight title. Later, UFC director Dana White announced that Makhachev’s next opponent would be Brazilian Charles Oliveira.
– Nothing else will happen. It’s going to be hard for him. He will give up, I will strangle him or knock him out,” Makhachev said at a post-fight press conference.
