The Tula team defeated the Sibir team in the second meeting of the third stage of the All-Russian competition ” Victory Cup” in Kazan.
In the weight category up to 60 kg, Konstantin Opolsky (Tula) defeated Aru Gaboyan (Siberia) by a majority of votes from the judges.
Alexander Khokhlov (Sibir) defeated Boris Shikunov (Tula) in the fourth round in the weight category up to 65 kg. In the category up to 70 kg, Igor Sviridchenkov (Tula) defeated Alexei Skomorokha (Siberia) also due to the best performance in the final round.
Boxers from Tula Dzhambulat Bizhamov (up to 80 kg) and Vadim Shcheblykin (up to 92 kg) defeated Stanislav Sotskov and Sergey Slobodyan respectively by unanimous decision.
The final score of the confrontation is 4:1 in favor of Tula.
Four other teams are also taking part in the tournament: Leningrad (St. Petersburg), Moscow (Moscow), Stalingrad (South and North Caucasus federal districts) and Kama (Privolzhsky and Ural federal districts).
The Kazan stage will end on Sunday, then the competition will take place in Saint Petersburg (July 8-10) and Orenburg (July 15-17). The final will take place on July 30 in Moscow.
