MMA fighter Vyacheslav Vasilyevsky told that he knew nothing about the possible cancellation of the fight with Ilyas Yakubov.
On Sunday, Telegram channel 112 reported that Yakubov was accused of publicly justifying terrorism. The 31-year-old athlete previously made a video on which he superimposed the statements of terrorist Shamil Basayev, who was responsible for organizing terrorist attacks in Moscow, Beslan and other cities. Yakubov later deleted the video. According to the channel, the capital’s investigative committee plans to ask the court to arrest the athlete.

Previously, Vasilevsky announced that his fight with Yakubov would take place on October 27.
Yakubov faces a hefty fine or a prison term of five to seven years for posting material online.
