The Chertanovsky District Court of Moscow granted the investigation’s request to impose a preventive measure in the form of detention against Russian MMA fighter Ilyas Yakubov, the press service of the capital’s courts reports.
The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention until December 11, 2023.
On Sunday, the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow announced the arrest of Yakubov, he was accused of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art . 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public justification of terrorist activities committed using the Internet information and telecommunications network). The fighter was taken to a unit of the Capital Investigative Committee.
