The fight will take place in the capital of Saudi Arabia on October 28
The president World Boxing Council (WBC) Mauricio Suleiman arrived in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, with a special championship belt for the winner of the upcoming fight between the WBC heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury and former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.
Let us remind you that in September a special trophy – the Riyadh champion belt – was presented by the promoter of the British boxer Frank Warren.
The Fury-Ngannou fight will take place on October 28 in Riyadh. The WBC granted Tyson special permission to fight the former UFC champion.
It is expected that immediately after this fight the final date for the unification fight between Fury and WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO belt holder Alexander Usyk will be confirmed. The “Gypsy King” himself expects that his meeting in the ring with the Ukrainian will take place in December 2023.
Fury beat Dereck Chisora by TKO in his last fight in December 2022. Ngannou will hold his first fight under boxing rules. The French-Cameroonian fighter defeated Cyril Gan at UFC 270 in January 2022 in his last MMA fight.
