Russian fighter Sergei Pavlovich will fight against Briton Tom Aspinall for the UFC interim heavyweight title, UFC chief Dana White announced on social media.
The fight will take place at UFC 295 in New York on November 11. The fight became possible because current champion John John was injured and will not fight Stipe Miocic.
Pavlovich last fought on April 22 at UFC Fight Night 222, knocking out Curtis Blaydes in the first round. The 31-year-old fighter has 18 victories and one defeat.
