Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Russian Islam Makhachev at the top of the ESPN rankings regardless of weight categories.
On Saturday October 21, Makhachev knocked out the Australian in the first round of UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi. Alexandra Volkanovski and defended the UFC lightweight championship belt.
Previously, Volkanovski held the top spot in the ESPN rankings, but has now fallen to third place. Makhachev rose to first place, American John Jones – the second.
In the official UFC rankings, Makhachev is in second place, Jones is still in the lead.
Makhachev, 31, won the 25th victory of his career with just one defeat.
