Former Bellator champion Koreshkov called Aspinall a troublesome opponent for Pavlovich

Former Bellator champion Andrey Koreshkov believes the Russian fighter Sergei Pavlovich it will be difficult in the fight with the British Tom Aspinall due to differences in fighting style.

Pavlovich will face Aspinall for the UFC interim heavyweight title in New York on November 11. The fight became possible because the current champion Jon Jones was injured and will not be able to fight against Stipe Miocic.

– It seems to me that Pavlovich and Aspinall are both uncomfortable with each other. Sergei’s fighting style is such that he pushes forward and breaks away from his power. Aspinall is a technician. If Sergei is constantly fighting, forcing exchanges and getting hit as a result, Aspinall will struggle. On the other hand, Pavlovich will also be uncomfortable if he allows the Briton to separate him and shoot from distance.

In general, I’m surprised that they fight. If Jones was injured, then someone had to fight Stipe Miocic. They may have been paired up to even the odds, as both will be eliminated on short notice. I don’t know who will win and I think the chances are about the same. I will support Seryoga,” Koreshkov told RB Sport.

Pavlovich last fought on April 22 at UFC Fight Night 222, knocking out Curtis Blaydes in the first round. The 31-year-old fighter has 18 victories and one defeat.
