Tszyu called a possible fight between Khabib and Jordan nonsense, and Shlemenko called sports jokes

Former undisputed boxing world champion Konstantin Tszyu called the former UFC champion’s possible fight circus Khabiba Nurmagomedova and a basketball player Michael Jordan .

Earlier, former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, after the official UFC ceremony in Las Vegas, where he was included in the organization’s Hall of Fame, announced his desire to fight with basketball player Michael Jordan.

Michael Jordan has never boxed. It’s completely absurd. Just some kind of circus. Let’s not forget that there is a real sport, and there is everything else. There are people who have done this their whole lives, like Khabib, McGregor, Mayweather, and there are people who have never done it at all. Michael Jordan is a basketball player, it’s better for him to practice his sport, Tszyu told RBC Sport.

Former Bellator Middleweight Champion Alexander Shlemenko also criticized a possible fight between Nurmagomedov and Jordan, calling the move a mockery of the sport.

– It’s just some kind of sports joke or prank. If we consider this as a spectacle, then it will certainly be interesting. It certainly hasn’t happened yet. A basketball player with this name fights. But they have a huge difference in weight. As the show is worth considering, you can always have them play basketball, which will throw more balls. It will certainly be interesting,” Shlemenko said.

Nurmagomedov has won 29 times in MMA and has never lost. Michael Jordan is 6 times NBA champion, 11 times he was included in the NBA All-Star team, he won the Olympic Games twice (1984, 1992) as part of the American team.
