Russian UFC fighter Irina Alekseeva believes that the Russian heavyweight Sergei Pavlovich capable of eliminating the Briton Tom Aspinall.
Earlier, UFC chief Dana White announced that Pavlovich would meet Aspinall in a fight for the organization’s interim heavyweight title. The fight will take place at UFC 295 in New York on November 11. The interim title was introduced after defending champion Jon Jones suffered an injury that will keep him out of his championship fight against Stipe Miocic.
— Bravo to Jones, but the fight between Pavlovich and Aspinall is excellent news. Tom, like Sergei, deals a heavy blow, so here, as they say, who strikes first. Pavlovich and Aspinall taught us how to win quickly, but I think the fight can go to a decision if the guys have a strong grip. But Sergey has six straight knockout victories in the UFC, and I will wait for the seventh,” Metaratings.ru quotes Alekseeva.
Pavlovich has 18 wins and one loss in MMA and is on a six-fight winning streak. Aspinall has 13 wins and three losses. In the UFC, the Briton fought six fights, in which he won five victories.
