Russian judoka Arman Adamyan said he managed to catch up with his opponent during his mistake in the final match of the Grand Slam tournament in Abu Dhabi.
In the final fight in the weight category up to 100 kg, Adamyan defeated Serbian Aleksandar Kukol.
“I’m the shortest on my team height-wise, so I have to rely on my height. We met an opponent for the second time, I had already beaten him in Turkey. But we managed to recover from our mistake and win,” Adamyan said on .
Adamyan, 26, is a world and European champion.
