Athletistic/Boxing. Former absolute world boxing champion Mike Tyson did not consider the possibility of a fight with former Russian MMA fighter Fedor Emelianenko. Promoter Bob Arum had this to say.

“No, there were never any negotiations about this fight. And this idea in itself is not feasible, it makes absolutely no sense. I would advise you to completely refrain from this idea,” Arum was quoted as saying by TASS.

Emelianenko’s team emphasized that negotiations on this fight are not moving forward, and therefore the Russian athlete is considering alternative options.

Emelianenko, 47, had previously expressed interest in trying his hand at boxing after retiring from mixed martial arts. Tyson, 57, fought his last boxing match against Roy Jones in 2020.
